Meet us in Cannes!

8 May 2018

The 71st Cannes Film Festival & Marché du Film starts today. Check out our new publications and find out where and how you can meet with representatives of the Polish film industry.

If you are interested in meeting Film Commission Poland representatives, we will be at the Polish Cinema Stand located on the 7th floor of Hotel Grand (45 Boulevard de la Croisette, Flamant entrance) from the 9th to the 15th of May.

Especially with the participants of Marché du Film in mind, we have prepared a new edition of the POLES IN CANNES catalogue, where you can find company profiles, short descriptions of projects looking for funding, co-production partners and sales & distribution, and, most importantly, contact details for film professionals from Poland present at Cannes this year. Browse HERE.

The new issue of the POLISH FILM MAGAZINE, which focuses on presenting the Polish audiovisual industry to foreign filmmakers, is ready just in time for Cannes. A sizable proportion of the current issue covers the Polish presence at La Croisette – there are seven Polish films in the official programme, including “Cold War” by Paweł Pawlikowski competing for the Palme D’Or. Readers can also count on fresh news from film sets & editing rooms. We would like you to meet Agnieszka Kurzydło, a producer mad about film; Tomasz Naumiuk, a cinematographer on a winning streak; Waldemar Pokromski, a legendary make-up artist, and Michał Fojcik and his Sound Mind Studio with Hollywood credits. In the location scouting section this time we check out diverse and rich interiors of Polish palaces and austere modernist exteriors.
The magazine is available now in official distribution at the Marché du Film, at the Polish Cinema Stand in Grand Hotel and online HERE.

We are also bringing to Cannes new editions of our well-known publications. PRODUCTION GUIDE POLAND is a condensed guide to the Polish film industry, explaining the rules and regulations of film funding in Poland and presenting our resources (e.g. film studios and film stages) and the participants of the market (producers, distributors, broadcasters, industry companies). LOCATION GUIDE POLAND includes a thematic review of Polish locations, highlighting their diversity. Both publications are available in print and digitally HERE.

Looking forward to meeting you in Cannes!
